I mean, it's got to go around; got to get it done. I'm here in Vegas right now, just spoke at AI4, and I'm going to be speaking at Rare Evo, interviewing Robert Kennedy, so that'll be fun. A lot of cool stuff. I think we're going to an afterparty tonight where Elijah Wood is DJing, so I get to hang out with Frodo. You know, that's pretty cool. It's been a wild ride the last few weeks, let me tell you.
How was traveling?
You know, I’m not even going to go to that today yet. Climbing the mountain—I saw the pictures of you climbing the mountain. Tell me about that before we get into all the Cardano, the policies, and the presidential election. Did you feel like giving up?
I was out in Guatemala, and we got this bright idea that it’d be fun to climb one of the volcanoes there. It was right next to Mount Paya, and it's like 13,000 feet. I said, "What's climbing like?" Oh, it's very easy; it's flat. We get there, and it's like a 45-degree angle, volcanic ash—you sink when you walk into it. We get around 12,000 feet, and then suddenly it starts hailing on us. We're in clouds and heavy wind, and it's hailing. We get up there; the volcano erupts. It's super beautiful and cool, but of course, we can't see anything because the clouds block it all. Then we walk down, and as we're walking down, torrential rains hit us. It was just pouring down.
So, it was the best job ever, right?
The best job I ever had! I really enjoyed it. We also did some HELOC casting, so I jumped out of some helicopters into the water and took some cool videos there. What they don’t tell you about HELOC casting is you never want to be the third guy to jump because every time somebody helicopters, they gain like five feet in altitude. So we went from like 10 feet to 25 feet, and then I hit the water real hard at an angle because the skid hit me when I jumped. The rappelling was pretty fun too. I looked like an old woman getting out of a bathtub. I got underneath the skin; I was upside down, and I’m like, "Okay, the rotor wash is not going to miss me now." I very slowly got out of that helicopter.
I saw you climbing out of the helicopter, and I was like, "You know, I don’t care." Stuff like that—you're having fun, you're enjoying life. That’s awesome! Did you have any positives from that tour?
Well, I learned a lot. It was a jungle warfare course with Delta Fuego because I’m getting ready to go to the Amazon. I figured we’d go to Guatemala to do a dry run in secondary jungle, although that’s primary jungle, so it’s a little different. The Fuego guys are great; they’re all like seventh group guys. They said, "Oh yeah, we do civilian training from time to time. Come out and work with us." The guy, Pat, is just like Captain America who lives in Guatemala. He started as a professional baseball player and then became a Green Beret for some reason.
That was really great. When we went to the jungle, we set up this beautiful camp, had all the hammocks out, and just got done filtering the water with the gravity filters. Suddenly, a large tree fell and crushed all of our hammocks, and it rained venomous scorpions on us. I looked at some of our guys and said, "I think this is a sign, man. We should call it for the day. Let’s try again tomorrow."
Oh my God! Since you mentioned the Amazon, are you getting ready to do that? I think Lex Friedman did it. What’s that called?
You're talking about ayahuasca and that stuff.

No, I’ve got a whole different thing I’m going to do. I’ll tell everybody after I do it, and if I survive, it’s quite dangerous.
Have you ever done that?
No, I’m not going to get into that. We’re just going to the jungle for a thing, and then afterwards, really cool videos because you know me—it’s got to go on Twitter. That’s the rule. No matter how stupid or messed up it is, it’s got to go on Twitter.
I got to ask you this question since we both love politics. The last time we talked, obviously, the assassination attempt on Donald Trump happened. Do you believe the polls now? We haven’t talked for like two or three weeks. Do you believe the polls now where Harris is actually winning?

So, I was going to ask—obviously, we spoke about the election and the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. Do I believe the polls that are currently out? The polls now are showing that Harris is winning by like five or six points. I remember when Hillary was winning by 73% to 21%. We know what happened during that election. Do you believe in these polls that are coming out?
Well, there are a few things to dissect here. I know a lot of guys in the polling business, like Frank Luntz and these other guys. I run into them from time to time, and I did a lot of work in mathematics, so I know the statistician side and the data science side of it. Generally speaking, right now, the polls are not saying Kamala Harris versus Trump; they’re really saying Trump versus not Trump. Kamala is kind of a generic Democrat candidate, and she doesn’t appear to have brain damage, although she hasn’t campaigned yet, so we don’t know.
When we were doing Biden versus Trump, people were like, "Well, we just hate Trump, but we can’t vote for the dementia patient." So he looked really good. Now Trump is facing a generic candidate. In the next two months, that generic candidate becomes a real person. She’s going to the Democratic National Convention; she’s got to campaign; she’s got to have policy; she’s got to differentiate herself from Biden; she’s going to go through the debates and all these other things. So the polls aren’t real from that perspective unless you give them another 30 to 60 days.
Now, the other thing is that the structure of the polling, when you look at it under the hood, they’re oversampling Democrats by about 10%. They’re oversampling urban areas, which traditionally are more liberal than they are Republican. Also, there’s what we call the shy Trump voter, where people are voting for him but don’t want to admit it because there’s such a social stigma. They’re like, "How can you support the orange Nazi?" You know, they don’t want to admit they’re a Trump supporter.
We saw this actually in Nixon in 1968—the shy Nixon voter. So, I don’t believe that the polls are a representative sample of what’s going to happen in November, but they are an indication that people really dislike Trump. People are basically saying, "As long as it’s not a corpse like Biden, I will probably not vote for him." The guy who got hurt the most is actually Robert Kennedy because nobody likes Trump or Biden. There was a whole group of people who were very disenfranchised; they just would not vote for Trump, but they would not vote for Biden, so they were voting for Kennedy. That’s why he was polling over 20% in some cases, and that might actually reduce his efficacy in the election.
We’ll see what happens in November, but it’s way too early. There’s going to be the October surprise. It looks like there was a hack on the Trump campaign, and they got an enormous amount of information. They gave it to the media, and the media is like, "We won’t publish it." Oh, they’re going to publish it at the most damaging possible time in October because they hate Trump. So expect around October 15th or beyond the October surprise and all kinds of weird stuff about JD Vance and couches and other things like that. It’ll hit; it always does every election cycle, from the Bush DUI in 2000 to the grab by the p***y tape with Trump in 2016. The media does this, and of course, Kamala is getting the halo effect. You see the Trump Time magazine that says "Meltdown," and you see Kamala; it says "Her Moment," and she looks angelic and amazing.
The American people are smarter than that, and the media is just trying to treat us like we’re stupid. We’ll see in October and November where the polls sit.

Recently, reports are coming out that he reached out to Kamala Harris to be a part of her administration, and he was willing to pledge his votes there, and she rejected him. He’s done essentially the same with Trump. Do you see him saying, "You know what? I know I have no chance to win. Let me get myself into one of these administrations and showcase myself to the entire world or maybe help with the policies with either party?"
Well, first off, it was fake news—him reaching out to Harris. I talked to the campaign about it, and he also tweeted today. This is just the level of veracity of the media. RFK has made it very clear that he’s willing to work with people. He reached out to both Trump and Harris and prior Biden’s campaign and talked about unity. If a mid-level person in the campaign does that, then of course the other campaigns are spinning it like, "Oh, he’s prepared to endorse, drop out of the race, and he wants some sort of cabinet position."
He was offered the VP position with Trump, and if he was willing to join, why wouldn’t it be Trump-Kennedy?

They’re kind of making it out like he’s this mercenary coming back for it, but the media has a very low opinion of Kennedy because he’s a threat to the Harris presidency and, prior to that, the Biden presidency. What they do is, regardless of who they are, if they stand in the way of the anointed one—whoever the media has anointed—they must be destroyed as people. They’re evil, they’re stupid, they’re compromised—whatever the attack vector. They’re weird.
He was an environmentalist hero in the '80s; he’s a man of incredible integrity. He’s done a lot of great stuff throughout his life. None of that matters; he’s just a kooky, weird conspiracy theorist. They’re on the personal politics of personal destruction. Why? Because he stands in the line of potentially costing Harris the election or Trump the election. Republicans don’t attack him, but the Democrats do.
You know, the party of democracy—they sue him in every state he’s in to try to prevent him from getting on the ballot. This is the party that doesn’t want you to be on the ballot if you oppose them. They don’t believe in democracy; they really don’t. They believe in basically just formalities, but they’ve already decided who should be the president of the United States.
I like Kennedy, and I’m riding with him. Kennedy’s the remedy, and that’s who I’m voting for in November. I’m interviewing him on Saturday, and I think he’s run a great campaign. All things considered, it’s been incredibly hard for him. Every disadvantage that you can throw at a candidate, he has. It’s not like they’re all at the race and they’re all running with Kennedy. They put like 50-pound weights on his legs and then made him start back half a mile from everybody else.
Then they exclude him from things like he’s not allowed to be in the debates; he’s not allowed to advertise the same way. Everything is under hyper-scrutiny. They misspell somebody’s name, and they say, "Oh, we can’t put you on the ballot." He didn’t get his residency in New York. He’s the guy who cleaned up the East River. In the '80s, he was doing all the environmental lawsuits to make sure that people weren’t pumping poison into the water supply in New York. He’s been there his whole life, but I guess he doesn’t live in New York now. This is the madness of what these guys are doing, and they know they’re going to lose on appeal, but the thing is they can drag it out. It’ll happen after the election, and they’ll say, "Oh, our bad. So sorry about it." Just dirty politics all the way through.
That’s what happens when you have a two-party system, right?
Somebody I was talking to yesterday said Robert Kennedy Jr. is a calmer version of Donald Trump. That’s how they look at it. They’re voting for Robert Kennedy Jr., but they feel it’s unfair that he didn’t even get a shot to be the lead candidate here for the Democrats. What does that really say about our system? What does this say? She literally had no votes; nobody voted for her—legitimately nobody voted for her. If you’re a Democrat, you should be upset right now. In my opinion, I’d be very upset if I were a Democrat and didn’t get to choose a candidate. A candidate has been forced on me.
They talk about democracy. How do you like this? This is dirty. People are playing with our country, and that really pisses me off.
It’s America today in 2024, and the lapdog media lets them get away with it. They just go and endorse anything. Remember, Biden was the best president we’ve ever had; he should be on Mount Rushmore. His mental faculties are stronger than they’ve ever been. Three weeks later, he’s got Parkinson’s. He’s horrible. The Parkinson’s expert visited the White House every month last year. We’ve got to get him out—25th Amendment.
These things—same person, three weeks’ time. Why? Because they realize it’s a threat to their power. Now all of a sudden, they have to go kill him. Harris is now the most brilliant person ever. She was the most unpopular vice president we had since Dick Cheney. Dick Cheney shot somebody in the face while in office! And yet now she’s the most popular presidential candidate of a generation. She’s transformative, and she has no policies. We have no idea what she stands for.
She’s not campaigning and talking. She’s doing what Biden did in 2020—hiding in the basement. Because at the end of the day, it’s Trump versus not Trump.
Do you think she has any chance?
Here’s my thing: I know people think, "Well, once they appear at the debate, Harris is going to take Trump to school." I remember when Trump first appeared on a stage with a bunch of Republicans who had their plans and had a vision. When Trump came on, he just got them out of their skins. They weren’t even focused on delivering their visions to the general public; they were just going after Trump. He didn’t care; he got them out of their element.
He’s going to do the same thing to Harris. I think he went against—say whatever you want about Hillary Clinton; I think she’s smart, right? If he went up against Hillary Clinton and beat her, Harris stands no chance. Hillary’s witty; she can go toe-to-toe with you. Trump has even admitted that she is a brilliant woman.
What does Harris stand a chance? She can’t even talk about inflation. She talks about all these things, Charles. "I’m going to lock down the borders once I’m president. I’m going to bring down inflation." You’re in office; you’re the vice president! Think about the Democrat Party saying the president of the United States is not qualified to run for reelection, but he’s qualified to be the president. I just don’t understand it.
This is the nonsense they’re shoveling to people. But they hate Trump so much, David. They hate him so much. The passion is there; they’re willing to elect a ham sandwich just as long as it’s not Trump.
Why not say, "RFK, I know you’re our best shot, not these people. RFK, you’re our best shot."
You know why I’m saying this? Guys, I know you’re like, "Dave, what’s wrong with you?" You’re talking about Trump. I like Trump, but if we were going to—let’s say Trump loses—I’m okay with Robert Kennedy Jr. being the president of the United States of America. That’s the whole thing. You want your best candidates on stage representing the United States of America. You don’t want somebody who—like Charles said, I don’t know her policies. I absolutely don’t even know. I didn’t know that she existed until a few months ago when we started up—or I would say up until the debate where Biden malfunctioned.
Now everybody came out, and they replaced him. Nancy Pelosi admitted it live on TV: "Yeah, Joe, you’ve got to step down. Do what’s best for the country."
If they ran Kennedy versus Trump, it’s like 58-42.

To educate yourself a little bit about memes, I think everybody should check out Nobu Space during the weekend, early in the morning. I believe it starts at 10:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time every single night. So, somewhere around 3 or 4:00 in the morning, as I'm doing research, I love talking out loud. I'm in the space, and I really think this is a good asset. It happens to be on Solana. Think about that; it happens to be on Solana. You guys already know how I feel about Solana.
I start talking about it, telling the people in the space, "Hey, I really think this is a cool asset." I felt the vibe from it because, to me, it's a troll. The whole thing is a troll. "Why you crying, son?" If anybody grew up in New York, we used to use terminology like that. That hit me. Besides it being an OG meme that's been used on the internet, I really felt like it was a troll. You can troll with a smile on your face. I tried to break that down in the space, but I was met with people laughing at me. Mind you, this was at an 8K market cap, so this thing was dead. I thought this was such a great troll, a great meme.
I thought the dev was still a part of it. For two to three hours, I was getting bashed. I was getting destroyed because people were like, "Yo, shut the hell up." That was the message I was getting. Then, I guess it was hour two or three when the market cap was just not moving. It was going from 8K to 10K, and nobody even cared. Bor started meming; he created a meme because nobody cared about his sponsor. Everyone was coming in to shill their stuff, and it was a hilarious moment. It was around 3 o'clock in the morning, and he was dead tired. People were coming in and talking about their projects while I was yelling at my screen, "How do you jeet for like $733? What is this? This is why I hate Solana!"
I was screaming at my screen, asking how you even participate on Solana if all these people are looking for a metro card. So, Bor started making memes, putting Nobu's profile picture on them, and it started to get funny. This joke that completely started off as a joke became something serious. People started saying, "Oh, I'll throw in 0.5," and then you had people saying, "I'll throw in a Solana, whatever." Slowly, this was happening. Nobu said, "Well, man, I think it’s time to close the space." I said, "No, no, don’t close this space! I haven’t had this feeling in a while. People are out here Kumbaya."
Slowly, people started to vibe with it. People were jumping in, and nobody was even telling them to do anything. They were just gravitating to it. I thought it was cool because for this project to thrive, the next week is going to be extremely crucial. I think this was day five of it being talked about. I said the next seven days are the most crucial part for any project. You see more people starting to talk about it, more people making memes, and pushing it out there.
The one thing I never bet against is a bunch of people coming together for a common cause. If people believe in something and feel there's value in it, you can't push back against it. It’s impossible. I became more vocal about it, and regardless of who leads the project, I’m a community member. I’m going to do everything possible to hope that I can make it somewhat successful because I felt energy I haven’t felt in a while.
There are nonstop spaces 24/7. People are asking for the ball to run with it, and they’re hosting spaces. There are over 200 people in spaces consistently now. Soon, there will be three to four rooms open. This is really becoming a thing. The positive I hope that comes out of Crying Cat is that maybe, just maybe, people will stop chasing shiny objects. Maybe people will say, "You know what? I’m tired of chasing all this stuff. I’m tired of buying all this stuff and it not working out. It’s time for me to go back into my conviction plays."
When I go into assets, I bet on people. The reason I went into Cardano is because I bet on Charles. I know Charles will give 3,000% to deliver. The meme can be great, but at the end of the day, I want to bet on somebody. I want to know that that person is driven to win. That’s what I want when I take my hard-earned money and put it into an asset. If it fails, as long as you give me 1,000% effort, I don’t care. That’s the way it should be. If something fails, as long as the person gives maximum effort, it’s fine.

When you buy a house, you tell everybody you bought a house. There’s nothing wrong with telling people what you’re in. I tell people I’m in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, Pepe, and Bobo, among others.
