hi this is charles hoskinson broadcasting live from warm sunny colorado always warm always sunny sometimes colorado you never know and then people send us gifts uh to uh to i o global or to me and i've received everything from board games to typewriter letters but this one really takes the cake it's pretty special alongside the belt buckle i think it is tied for one of my favorite pieces uh so a gentleman named brett commissioned brandon rollin uh to create this now this is a special piece of art and it's the cardano logo and actually the way it's constructed is that the paint is layered but there are about a thousand dots on that one thousand uh the artist spent some time talking with me and we kind of went through the design of it and so forth so we'll hang it somewhere in the office but one thousand dots representing a thousand stake pool operators isn't that cool uh it's always nifty when people send gifts or uh we have a chance to get something from the community and they kind of share their passion and love and it means the world to us it really does and what's so cool about this particular gift is it's not just a gift to us at iowa global but it's a visualization of who we are as an ecosystem each and every one of those dots represents one of those registered stake pools so in essence this is a thank you to all of you as much as it is us and a recognition of the work you guys have done and the things you guys do and the success of the launch of the network over 250 state pool operators have made blocks so far in the d equals 0.9 era and very soon we'll be in the 0.8 and i think we'll be at 0.78 not too long after that we got a big update coming i think thursday or friday to improve node performance and other things so we're really moving along things are accelerating even faster than i thought but every now and then you get something like this you hang it on the wall and every time you walk by it reminds you that this is not just a piece of software it's a community it's an ecosystem and every one of those dots as a person they matter so thank you guys for being awesome brett thank you so much for the gift uh brandon rollins did an incredible job making it and it was a lot of fun talking to him he actually drove her from colorado springs to drop this by the office so uh thanks for taking the long drive i think it's about two hours and i just wanted to make a quick video to show this off to everybody and to thank you personally uh and to talk a little bit about the ecosystem we'll find a nice wall for it i'll tweet it thanks everybody cheers
