hi everybody this is Charles Hoskinson broadcasting live from warm sunny Colorado today's March 18th and I just wanted to make a very quick video asking for some help from community so as many of you are aware we were originally with the launch of shelley planning to have a event in kyoto I'm probably going to travel to Japan I'm gonna make every effort to do that unless the whole u.s. shuts down Japan shuts down unfortunately international travels quite difficult these days but if they allow me to fly I will fly that said in an age of corona we just simply cannot have a conference a large gathering it would be irresponsible that said the magic of Technology can allow us to have a virtual conference so I have assigned my media director and my event planner to take a look and see if we can find some good software a good framework where we can host a digital conference and do kind of like what we did with the AI which case summit but instead that people can log in with avatars and attend virtually in the easy way so this is a new domain for us we've never done anything like this before and what I've learned in life is when a doubt crowdsource so my plea to the community is if any of you have attended a virtual conference or hosted a virtual conference or know somebody that's offering these services do get in contact with us either tweet to me or create a reddit thread and ambassadors please do agregate collate these things and we'd like to get some recommendations on critics often experiences pros and cons and ways that we can optimize this shelly is shipping soon so this is a bit of a time intensive process and planning a conference is a hard deal but I really do want to bring the launch of shelly to the entire masses i've spent years of my life on this you guys have waited quite some time for it it would be quite unfortunate if it just was a press release or something like that or you know is hey here's Shelly and we don't get to collectively celebrates this enormous accomplishment so it would be really cool to see what level innovations been created I one time went to a conference a few years back if you guys look on YouTube for a presentation I did like pillars of decentralized society or something like that maybe 2015 or 2016 that was released I remember actually I had a little avatar and it was for an Israeli company that did it and I could walk around and visit things if that's actually still around and there are things like that'd be super cool to get to know about them and get an idea of cost scale and how easy it'll be for many people to attend given that everybody's quarantined and isolated right now we could end up having a virtual conference with a hundred thousand people so it'd be pretty cool to see if somebody can handle that load in that scale we have a lot of good news and announcements and we've been holding them specifically for the launch of Shelley and so there'll be real presentations and lots of cool things it'll be almost like the I which case summit last year hopefully bigger so this is a plea to the community if you guys have some experience with virtual conferences or you guys have attended one do get contact with us and or create a reddit thread and we'll we'll find it or let one of the Cardinal ambassadors know and they'll get it to us or just tweet me and I will certainly take a look at it but this is a great example of where crowdsourcing can be useful for us we're getting really close to the pirate reboot launch as well we'll try to get a lot of assets out with that from media assets to blog post a video that is the most significant release we've ever done as a company and Shelley would be even more significant release so look for that as well and I hope that a partner can give you guys some good news when she does her presentation with the other product managers at the end of month so anyway this quick update Shelley's coming soon and we're getting ready for a conference for it we can't hold an in-person conference so let's do it virtual and we need your help let us know if you've ever attended one or hosted one or have friends that have done that and get us your experiences and information and also thank you to all the state pool operators who have done a video about their experiences running a state pool keep them coming I've had so much fun watching those videos retweeting those videos so if you haven't already done one in your state pool operator please do one and posted either on reddit or tweet it to me or let Rick McCracken know I he's my accountability buddy if I miss one of you Rick will yell at me and say you need to treat this person so keep those videos coming and introducing yourselves you can even make a video where you don't reveal your identity just do a video and you know you can wear a mask or you know they men naanum eyes yourself just let the world know who you are and let the world know why you created the pool and your experiences and so forth we care about that information more than the particular people and it's your chance to be in the spotlight so a virtual conference and keep the videos coming thanks guys so
